Treehouse Life Design Signature

Play-space is not a place but a journey – a natural way to play through pretend, imagination and discovery of nature. We reject the flat, fixed limits of the conventional playground, championing instead “play-elevation”: a richer, more expansive form of play that unfolds both above and beneath, doubling the space and unlocking infinite creative possibilities.

We do not simply build play areas; we cultivate an imaginative ecosystem – a wonderland of elevated nature play, refined and timeless, where children lead, adults join and the imagination has no ceiling.

Here, the challenge is not speed, height, or noise, but imagination – replacing competition with collaboration, solo achievement with shared joy.

Elevated woodland journeys, winding walkways, hidden platforms and canopy hideaways connect to shaded forest floors alive with “building treasures” and a curated “wonder-wall of stuff”, inviting children to create castles, ships, cafés, theatres, or whatever worlds they imagine.

Adults become “storytellers”, sparking collective adventures where every day is a living tapestry of shared stories and fully formed dreams.

Our Values

Slow Play

In our fast-paced world, it's so important to take the time to slow down and reflect on our goals and values. This concept of 'slow play' is essential not only for children but also for adults. For children, it fosters creativity, imagination, and a deep sense of wonder. For adults, it provides the necessary pause to reconnect with our purpose and vision. By embracing slow play, we create space to think deeply, innovate, and truly enjoy the journey.

Pretend

Our vision embraces diversity and inclusivity, breaking down barriers and creating a welcoming environment for everyone. We believe that different perspectives strengthen us, and we strive to ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and respected, regardless of background or borders.

Inner Child

Empowering individuals is at the heart of what we do. We encourage personal growth, support self-confidence, and provide the resources and guidance to help our community members achieve their potential. We believe that when individuals thrive, so does our collective strength.

Our Design Principles

Harmony

At Treehouse Life, we’re inspired by the hexagon - a shape that’s as extraordinary as the natural world itself. Found everywhere from honeycombs to snowflakes, the hexagon symbolises efficiency, strength, and harmony, and perfectly reflects our values of connection, creativity, and sustainability.

Connection

At Treehouse Life, we see the hexagon as more than just a shape - it’s the heart of our design philosophy. What makes the hexagon so special is how effortlessly it connects with other shapes like squares and triangles, creating a seamless flow for decks, platforms, and rope bridge pathways. This simple yet powerful connection allows us to craft designs that aren’t just beautiful, but also practical and deeply immersive.

Elevation

At Treehouse Life, we design spaces that are more than just structures. They are invitations to slow play and pretend imagination, where creativity takes flight and families can reconnect with nature. Central to this is our use of shapes - hexagons, squares, and triangles - to create spaces at different heights, all intentionally built above the ground.

Rhythm

At Treehouse Life, we find inspiration in the simple, natural rhythms that shape how we experience the world. Just like squares and triangles are the foundation of our designs, they’re also at the heart of rhythm, beat, and groove - the things that make us tap our feet, move to music, and feel connected to life’s energy.

Balance

At Treehouse Life, we find inspiration in the Fibonacci sequence, a pattern that’s woven into the very fabric of nature. From the spirals of a sunflower to the curves of a seashell, Fibonacci is all about proportion, harmony, and balance - qualities we bring into every aspect of our designs.
