How does the Treehouse Life design and build process work?

There is a moment - usually on a video call or standing together beneath a canopy of oak - when the conversation shifts from "what if" to "let's do this." That shift is what our process is built around. It begins when you share your wish-list with us and we send you a personalised brochure exploring the possibilities for your site, your trees and your imagination. From there we arrange a call to talk through every detail, then a site visit - either in person or virtually - so we can understand the land, the light and the feeling you are reaching for. We issue a proposal and we refine it together, at your pace, until the design feels right. Once you are ready, we draw up a contract and an initial invoice of 40% of the agreed cost, which triggers production. We only take on one project at a time, so from that point forward you have our complete and undivided focus. We agree an installation date with you, and on the first day our team arrives on site we issue the intermediate invoice of 40%, covering our continuous presence until the work is done. The final 20% is invoiced on practical completion. The whole journey - from signed contract to standing inside something you once only imagined - typically takes between six and twelve weeks.
